Sgt Rick Pierce and Ofc. Johnston caused great emotional stress because they were intentionally harassing you. They totally ignored your rights as spelled out by Florida laws pertaining to Title XXIII Motor Vehicles. When there are no marked crosswalks, Florida law 316.130(12) requires a pedestrian to cross using the shortest route possible. The law says that the pedestrian has to walk at right angles perpendicular to the road to cross the road in the shortest distance possible. These two poor representatives of Palm Beach Gardens could end up costing that city a lot of money.

Watched this on the LackLuster channel. Came over to your channel to say that I really like the way you present yourself throughout the interaction in your "Jaywalking" offence starting at the 12 minute mark. I'm Canadian but lived in SA/TX for four years 87-91 while serving my country's military at Kelly AFB. Your video, reminded me of when my wife and a large group of the international wives were on the way to a restaurant across a four lane road. The same scenario unfolded with sidewalk closed, the previous intersection being quite far back and it being unsafe to walk on the road before being able to cross. The ladies crossed carefully, but immediately had cops all over them with threats of tickets and demands for ID, names, etc. They were NOT intimidated. Cars were actually stopping to see what was going on and applauding the ladies. The cops backed down but not before one officer started calling the ladies "bitches." My wife faced the office square-on and replied "They are not bitches, they are the wives of international diplomats." Sounds snobby, but not one of these ladies had a pretentious bone in their body. The cop went beat red, then white, then left. All to say that I believe this form of "jaywalking" entrapment has been going on for a long time. I assume its to bolster the cops ticket quotas and as a cash grab. It's good to your rights and it's good to be empowered with knowledge.

Start to research how an Officer of the Executive Branch can use his Opinion to make a Legal Conclusion you violated a statute/code, without being a member of the Judicial Branch OR have a BAR card. There's so many violations of due process and Separation of Powers.

i remember watching this one on LackLuster they were so unfair they wanted you to walk about 600 yards where you came from just to cross the road but if you did that you would been arrested there to for obstructing the police at the crash site right

I watched your video where the charges were dropped first. This is infuriating! I hope you sue the shit out of them. It was completely irrational to expect you to walk almost a mile out of your way. If there are streets in between the lighted intersection you can cross anywhere. This is why there is a disconnect between the police and the public! Peace!

Amanda. Why allow yourself to get arrested instead of taking the bogus ticket that you could easily get dismissed? I know you didn't want to ID yourself but if you are arrested they will get your ID anyway. We all know they were looking for some excuse to ID you because you were copwatching them. Accepting a ticket and sleeping in your own bed at home is way better than spending the night in a jail cell.

F Stat 316.130 (11) – "Between adjacent intersections at which traffic control signals are in operation, pedestrians shall not cross at any place except in a marked crosswalk." Acura is standing about 20 feet from an intersection where traffic signals are NOT in operation, so she was legally allowed to cross where she crossed.

Sorry, but that was a legal arrest. Just because there is a closed sidewalk sign up there, it didnt say you can break the law and cross anywhere you like. And since you obviously broke the law, were compelled by the law to ID yourself. And your failing to do so is also against the law. Sorry, its very clear and very easy situation. I appreciate what you're trying to do, but you need to be better at it and not give them justification to roll you up.
